Lynn convicted of eight counts of cruelty to horses

The Adams County Prosecutor’s Office announced that on June 7, 2018, Judy Lynn, age 55 of Bowling Green, Ky., was convicted after a three-day jury trial in the Adams County Court of eight counts of cruelty to animals, misdemeanors of the second degree.
An Adams County jury found Lynn guilty of failing to sufficiently feed eight horses, one of which died.  The offenses occurred at 600 McCarty Road in West Union.  A veterinarian who examined the surviving horses testified that the horses were malnourished and in poor condition.
Lead prosecutor Barbara Moore commented, “These animals suffered from starvation with one dying.  This type of neglect is never going to be acceptable.”
Moore thanked all the law enforcement and animal protection officials whose efforts resulted in the successful prosecution of the case.
The matter will be set for sentencing at a later date before the Honorable Alan W. Foster, County Court Judge.
