Under the direction of Mr. Neil DeAtley, the West Union High School Chamber choir had the honor of performing the National Anthem before last Friday’s afternoon session of the OHSAA girls state basketball tournament.

On Friday, March 17, the West Union High School Chamber Choir had the honor of performing the National Anthem at the Schottenstein Center on the campus of Ohio State University for the OHSSA Division III girls state basketball tournament.
The choir is directed by Mr. James O’Neil DeAtley, a graduate of West Union High School and Morehead State University.
The following students are members of the Chamber Choir:  Madison Welch, soprano; Tyler Fowler, tenor; Anna Shupert, soprano; Coal McClanahan, bass; Hannah Blythe, alto; Carson McFarland, tenor; MacKenzie Smith, soprano; Raegan Fulkner, alto; Ethan Thompson, tenor; Sianna Mills, soprano; Dakota Nehus, tenor; Zachariah Sentney, tenor; Matthew Grooms, bass; Jackson Crask, bass; Madeline Spires, soprano; Jordan Ozeta, bass;Nathan Young, bass; Brooklyn Howelett, alto; Kristin Grooms, alto; JosieParker, soprano; Nathan Music, bass; and Tyler Swearingen, tenor.
The WUHS Chamber Choir often performs the Anthem at high school sporting events and their performance at the state tournament on Friday was described by many as “stirring.”
