Oscar Moore, 75, of Winchester, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. He was born November 9, 1941 in Stout, Ohio.
Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Violet (Rogers) Moore; son, Richard Moore; infant son, Michael; four brothers: Jack, Dan, Henry and Joe Moore.
Oscar is survived by his wife of 31 years, Terri Moore of Winchester; two daughters: Sherri Hiltebran and husband Jeff of Peebles, and Angela Taylor and husband Durwood of Lexington, Kentucky; four sons: Steven Moore of Lexington, Jody Moore and wife Tonya of Winchester, Shannon Moore and wife Kelly of Winchester, Ronald Moore and wife Jennifer of Highland County; stepson, James Williams and companion Lisa of Conway, South Carolina; one sister, Martha Unger of West Union; two brothers: James Moore of Beverly, Ohio and Richard Moore and wife Mary of Fullerton, California; 14 grandchildren; one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Oscar retired from Sauls Construction Company in Batavia after 28 years of employment.
The visitation is from 5 until 7 pm on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union. The funeral is 11 am on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Chaplain Bonnie Bohn will officiate. The burial will be at Cherry Fork Cemetery in Cherry Fork.
