Neil R. Swayne, 69 years, of Washington Court House, passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, at the Four Seasons of Washington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Washington Court House.
Neil was born Jan. 23, 1947, in Adams County, the son of the late Omer Swayne and Edith Unger Swayne.
After serving in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Mitscher, Neil worked in the electronics industry, working for companies such as Cincinnati Milacron, RCA, and NASA.
Neil is survived by his wife, Susan Armbrust Swayne, whom he married on March 23, 1974 of Washington Court House,; two sons, Brock Swayne and Richard Swayne, both of Washington Court House; six brothers, Don (Barb) Swayne of Waverly, Mitch (Rose) Swayne of Baltimore, Ohio, Jake Swayne, Jack Swayne and Dale Swayne, all of McDermott and Dave (Rhonda) Swayne of Lucasville; and one sister, Eva Swayne Davis, of Lucasville.
Funeral services will be held at the Wallace Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at 1 p.m. with Reverend Marlyn Davis officiating.
Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
