The cross-country team from Manchester High School made a pretty good showing for themselves last weekend, competing in the Knights of Columbus Fourth of July 5K across the river in Maysville.
MHS cross-country coach Vic Bowman, center, placed first in his age group, while runners Ethan Pennywitt and Kelsey Friend were the overall male and female winners in the race as the Greyhounds dominated the competition on the Kentucky side.
