The first grade classes at Peebles Elementary held a Grandparents Day celebration on Friday, Sept. 11. The grandparents got to make an art project with their grandchild and share a special snack.

“We want to thank everyone who came to our first grade Grandparents Day celebration at Peebles Elementary School,” said Assistant Principal Carrie A. Fuller.

Grandparents Day was established as a secular holiday in 1978 in the United States. It has spread around the world in the years since.
