Ruth Ella Cooper age 91 of West Union, Ohio passed away on Monday July 20, 2015 at Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center. She was born on June 4, 1924 in Ashland, Kentucky the daughter of the late David Marion Salyers and Elizabeth (Ison) Salyers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Bernard Cooper in 2005 and a son Stanley Cooper in 2007. Also a sister Edith Salyers and brothers Tom Salyers, Isom Salyers and Frank Edwin Salyers. Sister in laws Jewell Salyers and Pauline Salyers.
Survived by son Kenneth (Cheryl) Cooper of West Union, Daughter in law Cathie (Hilterbran) Cooper of Grove City, Ohio. Grandchildren Kyle (Davina) Cooper, Seth Cooper, Austin Cooper and Rachel Cooper. Great Grandchildren Garrett Cooper, Willow Cooper and Coraline Cooper. Brothers Edgar (Lois) Salyers of Billings, Missouri, Samual Salyers of Moraine, Ohio and John (Mildred) Saylers of Galloway, Ohio. Sister in laws Bessie Salyers of Piketon, Ohio and Mary Alice Salyers of Sandy Hook, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held Friday July 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home with Irving Ross and Kevin Naillieux offiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service.
