The Humane Society of Adams County had a great day at the West Union Lions Club Freedom Festival on July 4. Many people stopped by the Humane Society’s table, and “Tessie” the adoptable Beagle/Terrier mix greeted everyone with a happy wag of her skinny tail.

To top off the day, Girl Scout Troop 2973, of Lynx, donated a box overflowing with pet supplies for the homeless animals at the Animal Shelter in West Union.
