For the second year, West Union will be hosting the Adams County Fall Basketball League for boys and girls in grades 3-8. The league will begin on Aug. 23 and for a registration fee of $45 will include a game t-shirt and five weekends of basketball action.

“This year we are expecting a very good turnout,” says Ted Pennington, one of the league’s organizers and the WUHS girls JV basketball coach. “We have had several responses from teams and players from out of this area. Last year we had 35 seventh and eighth graders in the Junior High division and the 3-4 and 5-6 divisions had 20 competitive teams.”

“We are excited for this second year and for the league to continue to grow.”

Sign ups for the fall league will be Aug. 2 and 3 from noon -3 p.m. at the West Union Elementary School. The league is open to students from all schools and athletes can sign up individually or as a team. For more information, contact Coach Pennington at 937-549-0021 or 740-981-9406.
