With the memory of their exciting tournament runs still fresh in the minds of the fans, Peebles head basketball coaches Josh Arey and Vohn Hoop will be holding their annual Youth Basketball Camp next week (May 27-30). This camp will offer young players in the area the opportunity to work on the fundamentals of the game and have fun all at the same time and an exciting chance to be part of the Peebles Basketball programs.
The skills that will be covered at the camp will include shooting, ball handling, free throws, defense, rebounding, work ethic, attitude, and the team concept. There will also be 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, Hot Shot, and Free Throw competitions.
The camp is for players who will be entering grades 2-8 for the 2014-15 school year. Camp for grades 2-6 will be held from 9:30 a.m.-noon and grades 7-8 will run from 1-3:30 p.m. High school basketball players will be present to assist in the camp every day.
