The annual Memorial 5K Run/Walk in honor of the late Kory Franklin will be held on the Manchester riverfront on May 10. This years’ “Redneck Run” will honor the memory of Kory, an Adams County youth whose life was tragically cut short.


Registration for the race will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Front and Pike Streets in Manchester and the races will begin at 8:30 a.m. Advance registration is $15 and will guarantee a t-shirt. All proceeds go to the Kory Franklin Scholarship Fund in remembrance of the MHS runner for an annual scholarship given to a qualifying MHS graduate.


There will be medals awarded for the top overall male and female runners as well as medals for the top two in each race division. Those divisions are: 14 and under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60 and over. For walkers, the divisions are under 40 and 40 and over.

Entry forms are available in the main office at Manchester High School.
