For the third time this season, the basketball record books at Peebles will need to be updated as another 1,000 point scorer has been added to the ledger. Following the boys’ Beau Justice and teammate Sidney Pell, Peebles 6’1” senior Baylee Wallace became the latest Indianian to eclipse the magic 1,000 plateau.
Wallace got her 1,000th career point on the road last Saturday night as the Lady Indians traveled to Lynchburg. A basket by Wallace in the midst of a crucial Peebles run put her over 1,000 and the game was stopped as she was presented the game ball by Lady Indians head coach Vohn Hoop.
The Lady Indians are in the middle of a very successful season fueled by their three seniors, Wallace, Pell, and Brooke Justice, standing at 10-2 after defeating Lynchburg 53-38. Wallace totaled 14 points for the game, leaving her at 1,008 for her career.
