The Cherry Fork Presbyterian Women met in the social room of the church on Wednesday, July 2 at 7 p.m.
Betty Jo Baldridge, hostess, read part of the Declaration of Independence, and she read about the Presbytery of Great Rivers in Peoria, Ill., telling us about a camp in Lexington, Ky., the Cathedral of Domain.
Sarah Kay Blythe, secretary, read the secretary’s report. Ann Down, treasurer, read the treasurer’s report.
Twelve members answered the roll call by bringing an item for the veteran’s home.
Sue Fulton, moderator, held prayer and we signed cards for the ones named.
We will go to Chandler’s at Maysville, Ky., for our annual outing on Wednesday, Aug. 6. Tell Sue Fulton or Jane Leonard the number attending on Sunday, Aug. 3. Sue will be at the church at 5 if you need a ride.
Ruth Ellen Fulton and Dorothy McIntire are on the nominating committee.
The ice cream social will be on Saturday, Aug. 16.
Peggy Foster had our lesson “God’s abiding presence.” The scripture was from Exodus 2:1-9; 33:7-11; 40:34-38 and Deuteronomy 30:11-20.
Betty Joe served delicious refreshments, assisted by Jane Hesler.
