Manchester High School has partnered with Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati to host a Community Blood Drive on Friday, April 4 from 9-11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.-3 p.m. The Hoxworth Donor Bus will be parked on the school lot, located at 130 Wayne Frye Drive in Manchester, OH.
“Local blood donors ensure that local patients at 31 area hospitals receive the lifesaving blood products they need to survive,” said Alecia Lipton, Hoxworth spokesperson. “Community blood drives are vitally important and we hope to see a good turnout at the Manchester High School blood drive.”
How to Donate:
Donating blood is safe and easy. Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with a signed parental consent) and in good health. Individuals must weigh at least 110 pounds and bring identification to donate. It is recommended that donors eat a good meal and drink plenty of water within four hours before donating.
