The Adams County Public Library offers access to subscription genealogy website Ancestry.com. This popular genealogy resource allows you to research your family history by searching hundreds of historic documents with a single query, including U. S. Census records, military records, court, land and probate records, vital and church records, directories, petitions for naturalization, passenger lists and more. Get started searching for evidence of your family’s history with only a first and last name, or use advanced search features to find specific information. Access to the library’s subscription to Ancestry.com is only available at library locations, on library computers, or our free wireless Internet. To access the site at the library, visit http://ancestrylibrary.com, or click on the Ancestry.com shortcut on library computers.
