The Adams County Public Library is a great place to get help with homework. Visit your local library to use a computer to type papers or search the Internet. Bring your laptop or mobile device to the library, and access free WiFi. Ask a librarian to help you find the books you need to complete your assignments.

Have more homework questions? Use Know It Now to ask a librarian to help you find the answer. Know It Now offers you live help from a librarian with finding resources, research, suggestions for good books, or answers to short questions. Chat with a librarian live at knowitnow.org, or download the free Know It Now app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Enter your zip code to get started. You can also ask a question by text message, by texting knowitnow followed by your question to 66746.

Need an after-school activity or a fun resource for snow days? Visit the Adams County Public Library’s Kid Zone website. Kid Zone is a collection of links to librarian-tested, kid-approved websites that help kids practice school subjects through games, activities, and project ideas.

Kid Zone is organized by school subject, and each subject has links to sites for pre-schoolers through high school kids. Hover over the link for a short description of each site. Many of the free games and activities are the same resources offered on the popular Early Literacy computers, available in each Adams County Public Library. Find the Kid Zone at bit.ly/acplkidzone, or visit the library’s Online Catalog, and click on the Kid Zone link.

Kids ages 5 and up are invited to visit the North Adams Library on Tuesdays at 3 p.m. for an After School activity with Kris. We’ll read and enjoy chatting about new books, watch a newly-released DVD, meet special guests, work on group projects, or play games. For more information, call Kris at 937-386-2556.

Catch up with library activities by visiting our Facebook page. Search for books and movies, or use your library card to manage your library account by visiting the Online Catalog, at bit.ly/adamslibrary.
