The West Union Wendy’s had a front row seat for an accident involving two vehicles at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, Father’s Day.

A maroon Subaru Outback driven by Amy Minton, 31, of West Union entered the center lane of the highway to turn left to enter the Wendy’s parking lot. She then proceeded with her turn in front of a silver GMC Acadia driven by Tanya Bowman, 48, of Manchester, striking the vehicle.

The West Union Fire Department responded with one engine and two utility trucks, the life squad sent two ambulances, and one village police officer was on the scene.

Bowman appeared uninjured and was up, walking around, and speaking with those present. Minton was transported from the scene by ambulance.
