A pick-up truck carrying five passengers collided with a storage shed at the Gast residence located at 6453 state Route 770 on Thursday, June 26. The shed was overturned on its side in the yard due the collision.


Andrew Mitchell, 27, of Peebles was driving the red 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 southbound on state Route 770, when he drove off the right side of the road and lost control. He struck two trees and a road sign, before colliding with the storage shed and coming to a stop on its right side.


Peebles, Seaman, and West Union Life Squads arrived on scene with Ohio State High Patrol Troopers Roe and Edgington. Tonya Tolle, 34; Christina Mitchell, 28; Gracie Mitchell, 5; and London D’Ambra, 1, all of Peebles were passengers in the vehicle. All were taken to Adams County Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash. Gracie Mitchell was subsequently transported by air evac from ACRMC to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. All have been released from the hospitals.


Citations have not been issued, and the accident is currently under investigation by the State Patrol.
