Three teens were involved in a vehicle accident last weekend on Courtney Road.

On July 20, Aaron Jones, 19, of Blue Creek, was driving eastbound on Courtney Road with Sarah Ward, 17, of Stout, and Ashley Day, 16, of West Union as passengers in a blue, 1990 Chevrolet Blazer. Jones failed to negotiate a turn and drove off the right side of the road, striking a tree.

The West Union Fire Department, West Union Life Squad, and Ohio State Patrol Trooper Stump responded to the accident. Jones and Ward were transported by ambulance to Adams County Regional Medical Center and Day was transported to the University of Cincinnati.

According to the OPS report, alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the accident.
