‘Reflections’ looks at historic Adams County businesses
Adams County has been blessed with many memorable local companies and businesses over the years.
This year, The People’s Defender’s annual “Reflections” special edition seeks to recognize the value of all our historic businesses and companies that have helped make Adams County a great place in which to live, work and raise a family.
“Adams County Businesses of the Past” is the theme for our special Reflections edition, which publishes in February.
In order to recognize and honor all of the Adams County businesses of our past, we want you, our readers, to contribute your memories and histories of these historic companies.
Please send us, preferably by email, your stories about historic businesses in West Union and Adams County. Is it a family business here in our community passed on for generations? Is it a local business you worked for as a youth or helped operate? We want your stories.
In addition, please include vintage photos you may have of old Adams County businesses. Make sure you include as much information you have about the photo. As we do each year, we will pick the best submitted photo for our cover.
The deadline to submit stories and photos for “Reflections” is Feb. 14. Email your stories/histories of local businesses of the past to: firstname.lastname@example.org and/or Mark Carpenter at email@example.com. Mail submissions to: The People’s Defender, 229 N. Cross St., West Union, OH, 45693 or drop them off in person.
