The 31st annual Decatur Day In the Park is scheduled for Saturday, July 12 and the second annual Horse Show will be Sunday, July 13, at the Decatur Community Center on state Route 125.
The agenda for Decatur Day in the Park: 10 - 10:45 a.m. parade registration and lineup at the Community Center; 10:30 a.m. Opening Ceremonies in the park with Amber Hornsby singing the National Anthem and Russellville American Legion performing the Flag Ceremony and parade judging begins at community center; 11 a.m. parade starts; 11:30 a.m. Memorial Ceremony; noon - 12:30 p.m. Brooke Hoop - Music; noon 4-H Baking Contest; 12:30 p.m. 4-H Bake Sale Auction; 1 p.m. Liberty Band; 2 - 3 p.m. Burbage Family - Music; 2:30 - 3 p.m. Baby Show Registration; 3 to 4 p.m. Baby Show; 3 p.m. Corn Hole contest; 4 p.m. Horse Cookie Contest/$10 per square: 4 p.m. drawing for split the pot.
The Byrd Township Fire Department will have their food booth and the Decatur Presbyterian and Methodist Churches will also host a food booth. The Byrd Township School Preservation Committee will serve homemade ice cream.
Everyone is invited to join in the fun. Bring a lawn chair.
