Ann Delia Lax Ann Delia (Eylar) Lax, died at 12:56 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Hospice of Cincinnati. Her death came at the end of an extended battle with cancer.
Mrs. Lax was a retired teacher of the Adams County/Ohio Valley School District. She was an active member of her profession, as well as her community and church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas W. Eylar and Martha Power Eylar, of Aberdeen; two brothers, T.J. Eylar, who died at age three, and Lt. Col. Fred P. Eylar, U.S. Navy retired of San Diego, Calif.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Herbert H. Lax; two sons, T.J. Lax of Philadelphia, Penn., and Stuard O. and Lauren Brown Lax, of Maysville, Ky.; a daughter, Anne L. (Lax) Pansing and David, of Batavia; and a granddaughter, Keeler Easton Pansing.
A memorial service will be held today, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Nativity Episcopal Church in Maysville.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
