Route to be closed Monday, Wednesday –

A pair of culvert replacement projects has been scheduled for state Route 73 in Adams County next
week, requiring single-day closures of the route.

Weather permitting, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Adams County facility will close S.R. 73 on Monday, April 10, to replace a deteriorated culvert at the 13.58-mile marker. The project site is located just east of the route’s junction with County Road 18 (Jaybird Road) and two miles west of the Adams-Scioto County line.

Then, on Wednesday, April 12, maintenance forces will return to S.R. 73 and close it at the 13.47-mile marker for a second culvert replacement project. This culvert is also located just east of the junction with Jaybird Road.

The route will be closed from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and while it is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of S.R. 32 and S.R. 772 in Scioto and Pike counties.
