Sherman E Young

Sherman E. Young age 98 of Russellville, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 9, 2013 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Ripley. He was born August 4, 1918 in Brown County, OH, the son of the late Dennie and Stella (Edminsten) Young. He was a farmer, a member of the Decatur Presbyterian Church and a board member of the Adams Co Water. He also operated a road grader for 20 years for Byrd Twp.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 75 years Dorothy Young, brother Norman Young, sister Lora Hardyman, and sister-in-law Ruth Young.

Sherman is survived by 2 sons; Lonnie Young and wife Gayle of New Richmond, Keith Young and wife Faye of Columbus, OH, 4 daughters; Judy Campbell and husband Marvin of Burlington, KY, Nancy Hooker and husband
Jerry of Cincinnati, Shirley Edmiston of Russellville, Janet Pickerill and husband Gary of Russellville,14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Meeker Funeral Home in Russellville with Kevin Hamilton officiating.  Burial will follow at the Decatur Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
