Geneva L. Chamblin, age 74 years of Blue Creek, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at the SOMC Inpatient Hospice Center. Geneva was born Jan. 19, 1942, the daughter of the late Harold and Mabel (Cooper) Colvin in Adams County.
Survivors include her husband Donald Chamblin of Blue Creek; one son, Randy Chamblin and Kelly Kimmerly of Blue Creek; one daughter, Donna MaHaffey and Kevin of West Portsmouth; four brothers, Vernon Colvin of Blue Creek, Lester Colvin of Mt. Orab,Charles Colvin of Blue Creek, and Ralph Colvin of Portsmouth; two sisters, Betty Ward of Winchester and Audrea Case of Peebles; Uncle Burton Colvin of Wheelersburg; Aunt Helen Riffe of West Portsmouth; Special Niece/Caregiver Melissa Colvin; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union with Keith Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunshine Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11a.m.- 1 p.m. the day of the service.
