It was all Adams County on Friday afternoon, Aug. 19 at the Adams County Country Club as the West Union Lady Dragons golf squad played host to both the North Adams Lady Devils and the Peebles Lady Indians in an early season tri-match.
Behind a 42 score from sophomore Deanna Caraway, the Lady Dragons held serve as they downed their two county opponents, scoring 173, with North Adams at 212, and Peebles at 239.
Right on Caraway’s heels for the Lady Dragons was Lindsey Daniel at 43, Alex Clark and Mackenzie Smith at 44, and Lucy Kersey at 45.  Also on the course for West Union were Caitlyn Cooper (51), Linda Lynch (65), and Madison Fulton (66).
For the day, North Adams was paced by Caitlin Young, who carded a 43 for the nine holes, followed by 48 from Caley Grooms.  Lexie Bunn scored 48, Brooklyn Young 60, and Erin Newman 62 to round out the NA golfers on the course.
Peebles was led by standout Savannah McCoy, who shot a 45.  McCoy was followed by Nicole Burns at 57,  Jessica Newman at 57, and Katie Setty and Shay Baldwin at 70.
