Margaret J. (Grooms) Lute, 76, of West Union,died Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 at home. She was born May 8, 1940 in Tiffin Township in Adams County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Edward and Mary Margaret Elizabeth Matilda (Grooms) Grooms; brother, Jessie Grooms and sisters; Joyce Taylor and Dentie Mae Grooms.
She is survived by two sons: Danny (Debbie) Grooms of Stout and Tom (Sharon)
Lute of West Union; two daughters, Debbie Lute of Hillsboro and Donna (Herbie) Glenn of West Union; one brother, Larry (Karen) Grooms of West Union; nine grandchildren, Heather (Gary) Lute, Jessica (Sam) Lute, Alicia Glenn, R.J. Glenn, Summer (Shawn) Anon, Dusty (David) Knauff, DaleAnna, Jason and Jonathon;
seven great grandchildren; and two nieces and two nephews.
She was a former cook at the Adams County Manor and at the West Union Baptist Church Daycare Center. She was a former elder caregiver for several families in West Union.
She attended Everyday Senior Activity Center in Liberty Township.

The visitation is Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from noon until 2 p.m. at the Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union. The funeral is at 2 pm. Reverend Chester Whaley will officiate. The interment will be at West Union Cemetery.
