Megan Dalessandro

Megan Nicole Spriggs Dalessandro, 34 ,of Hatfield, Penn., formerly of West Portsmouth, died Tuesday July 26, 2016 at Lansdale Hospital in Lansdale. She was born July 29, 1981 in Cincinnati and was a 1999 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and a 2004 graduate of The Ohio State University. She volunteered at Walton Farm Elementary School where her sons attended and was also a volunteer for the SPCA of Pennsylvania.
Megan is preceded in death by a brother Brad Edgar Staggs; grandmother Marianne Spriggs; grandparents, Paul and Gladys Staggs; aunt Jamianne Grooms; and three uncles, Ron and Roger Staggs and Dan Gilpin.
She is survived by her husband Dennis Nicholas “Denny” Dalessandro; two sons, Alex and Zack Dalessandro; her parents, Craig and Jill Spriggs Staggs of Sciotoville; two brothers, Shannon (Cherish) Staggs of West Union and Jeremy (Becca) Staggs of Wheelersburg; a sister Brooke Staggs of Portsmouth; grandfather, James P. Spriggs of Lucasville; her father and mother-in-law, Dennis and Dorris Dalessandro of Orville, Ohio; brother in law Brian Dalessandro; uncle John Grooms; two aunts, Carolyn Gilpin and Cheryl Rowland; five nieces and nephews, Madisyn, Taylor, Taygen, Tori and Brevan Staggs; and her special yellow friend “Lucky”.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday Aug. 2, 2016 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Alex Bloomfield officiating. Interment will be in the Scioto Burial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the SPCA at www.pspca.org in Megan’s name.
