Pearline A. Williams, age 76 years of Peebles passed away Tuesday July 26, 2016 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.  Mrs. Williams was born April 26, 1940, the daughter of the late John Raymond “Ray” and Nora (Freeze) Burns in Adams County.  Besides her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by a daughter Angela Scarberry, two grandchildren, and four brothers Leroy, Donald, Clarence and Ralph and one sister Mary Short.
Survivors include her husband Melvin Williams of Peebles; three sons David Bocook of Paris, Ill., Preston Bocook of Proctorville, and Richard Scarberry of Ironton; three daughters, Carla Bocook of Attalla, Ala., Audrey Logan of Portsmouth, Karen Fisher of Portsmouth; six brothers, Floyd Burns of W. Va.,  Russell Burns of Texas, Larry Burns of Peebles, Roger Burns of Marion, Marvin Burns of Peebles, and Jerry Burns of Peebles; five sisters, Mabel Thompson of Georgia, Ruth Burns of Grove City, Violet Lynch of Texas, Wanda Sue Warren of Peebles, and Sharon Shields of Highland; 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday July 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union with Ricky Ross officiating.  Burial will follow in the East Liberty Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from noon – 2 p.m.the day of the service.
