Stanley McFarland age 83 years of West Union, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. McFarland was born on May 11, 1933 the son of the late Eugene and Opal (DePue) McFarland in Sandy Springs, Ohio.
Mr. McFarland was a member of the Corner Stone Church, and retired from Ford Motor Company at the age of 56, after retirement Mr. McFarland played his fiddle professional for many years.
Survivors include his daughter Sandy Payne and Tony of Winchester; two step-sons, Lee Bender and Shawna of Eastgate and Chris Bender and Angie Edmondson of Amelia; one brother, Jim McFarland and Wilma of Milford; and five grandchildren, Tom Payne, Wesley Payne, Garrett Payne, Jared Payne, and Logan Bender.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home with Cliff Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in the West Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the day of the service.
