Bobbie Wayne Jacobs, age 73 years of West Union, formerly of Chillicothe, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the VA Medical Center in Chillicothe. Mr. Jacobs was born Nov. 27, 1942, the son of the late Floyd Jacobs and Trullia (Keefer) Grubb and Elijah (Zack) Grubb in Leon West Virginia. Besides his parents, Mr. Jacobs was preceded in death by a brother Floyd Junior Jacobs.
Mr. Jacobs was a member of the Iron Workers Local #22.
Survivors include one daughter Bobbi Jo Grooms and Chris of West Union, Ohio; two sons Tim Jacobs and Shannon of Indianapolis Indiana; Brian Jacobs and Shana Reffitt of Hillsboro, Ohio; two sisters Ruth Johnson of Massieville, Ohio; Vonda Jacobs of Chillicothe, Ohio; two brothers Jack Jacobs of Indianapolis, Indiana; Keith Jacobs of Kingston, Ohio; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the West Union Cemetery, under the direction of the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home, with Dan Harrison officiating and military services by the Adams County Honor Guard.
