Clifton Wheeler, 59, of Wilmington, Ohio died Friday, April 15, 2016 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. His wife, Theresa Pigman Wheeler, survives. They were married Aug. 31, 1976. He was born Dec. 30, 1956 in West Union, son of the late William H. Wheeler and Elizabeth Marshall Wheeler Gray.

Mr. Wheeler owned and operated Wheeler’s Auto Repair in New Antioch. He had coached his daughter’s softball teams. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and restoring classic cars. Most importantly, he loved to spend time with his grandkids.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Wheeler is survived by two daughters, Destiny (Chris) Rix of Wilmington and April (Don) Hoover of Wilmington; a brother, James “Rick” (Debbie) Wheeler of West Union; six sisters, Brenda (Don) Grooms of West Union, Beth (Ken) McNeilan of West Union, Donna (Ronald) Hopkins of West Union, Wanda Gahweller of Rapid City, S.D., Janet Wheeler of Washington, and Patty Wheeler of Cincinnati; two grandchildren, Christopher Rix and Haylie Rix; and two brothers-in-law, Mike (Terri) Pigman and Bobby Pigman.

In addition to his parents, five brothers, Harold Wheeler, Jude McCane, Bobby Wheeler, Raymond Wheeler, and Don Wheeler, and two sisters, Betti Farmer and Jennifer Wheeler, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street in Wilmington with Bryson Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Bowersville, Ohio. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
