Mary Malone Estridge

Mary Malone Estridge, age 88 of Batavia, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at Hospice of Southwest Ohio.

She was born in Jackson County, Ky. on Dec. 15, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph and Jenny (Pennington) Hurst.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Malone in the year of 1979 and second husband, Elihu Estridge in the year of 2003.

She is survived by her two daughters, Joan Bailey of West Carrollton, Jean Miller of Batavia; brother, Virgil Hurst of Kentucky; four sisters, Beulah McCarroll of Tipp City, Dora Stamper of Miamisburg, Bonnie Scott of Tennessee, Shirley Ray of Tennessee; 12 grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Visitation has been scheduled for Saturday, April 16, 2016 from noon- 1 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis Sullivan Chapel in Seaman. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Leigh Cemetery with Paul McCulley Officiating.
