Adams County youth earns First Place honors

Areena Goon, daughter of Taylor and Jessica Goon of Winchester, earned first place honors in the Junior Division of the Presentations portion of the recent Ohio 4-H Horse Program Communications Contest. Goon gave a presentation on the horse’s Skeletal Structure.

Her younger sister, Shaye, also participated in the Contest, speaking about Hay for Equines. Both girls are members of the West Fork Wonders 4-H Club and both plan to participate in all eight state-level horse events this year, getting off to a great start at the March 5 event.
