It’s Hawks vs. Eagles

The gauntlet has been thrown down and the challenge made and on Sunday, Feb. 28, questions will be answered on the hardwood of West Union High School. Will Adams County Sheriff Kimmy Rogers be posterized for future generations by “Dunking” Darryl Grooms? Will the Eagles at the Sheriff’s Office be able to contain the high-flying offense of the Venture Production Hawks?

These questions and many others involving the talent level of the competition put up by the Sheriff’s Office will be answered when the Venture Production Hawks battle the Eagles from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office in exciting basketball action. Doors will open at 1 p.m. for the 2:30 p.m. tip off on Feb. 28 on the home floor of the Dragons.

Come out early and meet the ball players, cheerleaders, competitive dance team, and help everyone celebrate the annual community basketball game fundraiser. There will be a Split-the-Pot raffle, ping pong throw, t-shirts for sale, concessions and many more fun surprises.

Maria Sexton will again sing her wonderful rendition of the National Anthem and even Boots, the therapy cat, will be coming to meet everyone.

The challenge has been made and on Feb. 28 the Hawks of Venture Productions will battle the Eagles from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office at 2:30 p.m. on the hardwood at West Union High School.
