A well-served honor was recently bestowed upon North Adams High School girls varsity basketball coach Rob Davis. Davis and the school were informed that the long-time Lady Devils coach will be one of the coaches for the 35th annual Girls North-South All-Star Game, which will be played at Otterbein University on April 23. To be selected for this honor, the coaches in the All-Star Game had to have their team play in the District Finals in the previous season, which the Lady Devils did in 2014-15.

Davis is in his 17th season as the head coach at North Adams and his 23rd year of coaching overall, all of them at the Seaman school. He has an overall varsity record of 201-121 and his teams have won five Southern Hills Athletic Conference championships, eight sectional championships, and been District Runner-up three times, 2010, 2012, and 2015. Rob was named as District 14 Coach of the Year in 2010 and also has been chosen as the SHAC Coach of the Year.

Davis has thus far led the 2015-16 version of the Lady Devils to a 14-2 record as of press time.

Besides his busy schedule at the varsity level, Davis is also very active in the community as well, running and organizing the local Pee-Wee basketball programs for the past five years as well as serving on the Winchester Village Council.

Coach Davis will be heading up the Girls Division III and IV squad at the All-Star Game, along with River’s Rick Isaly.
