When Daril and Judy Arnold of West Union first began helping stray cats that showed up at their home, they had no idea what a commitment they were taking on. The 33 cats, which range in age from kittens to seniors, represent a rainbow of fur colors, eye colors, coat lengths, and personalities.

The Arnolds have spent hundreds of dollars every month to feed the animals, and even more on veterinary bills. Most of the cats are friendly, have been given their rabies vaccinations, and have already been spayed or neutered through the Humane Society of Adams County’s low-cost sterilization program.

Now that Mr. Arnold is experiencing his own health issues, the couple is desperate to find homes for most of the cats, so that they can reduce the population to a more manageable number. If you are interested in adopting a cat or kitten from the Arnolds, please contact Daril Arnold at 937-544-2605.
