Two people were seriously injured in a car accident near Peebles on Oct. 6.

The Ohio Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the single car accident at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday night. According to investigators, Tyler Hendricks, 20, of Peebles was traveling eastbound on Fawcett Road. He lost control of his vehicle, traveled off the right side of the road, and struck a tree. Hendricks was not injured.

According to Trooper Kyle Klontz, there were two passengers in the car and both were seriously injured. The Peebles and West Union Life Squads responded and two helicopters were dispatched to the scene.

Passenger, Angel Hessler, 18, of West Union was airlifted to the UC Medical Center. Investigators confirmed that Ms. Hessler is 12 weeks pregnant.

A second passenger, Adam Boling, 19, of West Union suffered a serious injury and was also evacuated to the UC Medical Center.

Troopers Kyle Chamblin and Scotty Fox were also present at the scene.

Hendricks was charged with operating a vehicle without reasonable control.
