Farm Science Review is next month

This will be one of my shortest columns. I am on vacation this week, so I thought I would simply remind you about the upcoming Farm Science Review.

It’s hard to believe schools are back in session and most college students are either back on campus or will be heading that way soon. With that said, the annual Farm Science Review is just around the corner.

This year one of the elite farm shows in the United States will take place on Sept. 22, 23 and 24 near London, Ohio. London is just a few miles southwest of Columbus, but for us it is northwest of Washington Court House. If you have not been there before, check out the website which will provide you with information including all of the events, but also information about renting golf carts if you would need one in order to see the show. Walking the entire show is definitely a workout. The website is http://fsr.osu.edu.

We have tickets available at all of the OSU Extension Offices in Ohio. The tickets are $7 at the offices or you can wait and buy them at the site for $10. The OSU Extension Offices for Adams County is located at 215 N. Cross St. in West Union in the Government Annex on Courthouse Square and the phone number is 544-2339. For Brown County the office is located at 325 W. State St. on the Brown County Fairgrounds in Georgetown and the phone number is 378-6716 and Highland County is located at 119 Governor Foraker Place on the top floor of the Administration Building on Courthouse Square in Hillsboro and the phone number is 393-1918. Stop by and pick up your tickets during business hours, but you may want to call to make sure tickets are still available.
