The Southeast District of the Ohio High School Athletic Association recently released its All-District baseball lists for the 2015 spring baseball season and Adams County is well represented with seven young men earning some form of All-District recognition.

In Division III North, the county is represented by West Union senior pitcher Kyle Taylor, who completed an outstanding senior campaign with his assault on the Dragons record book. West Union is the only county school competing in baseball in Division III.

The other three county schools are Division IV in baseball and placed three players on the Division III North First Team All-District, all underclassmen in North Adams juniors Austin Copas and Kenny Branch and Peebles freshman phenom Caleb West. Also part of the Division III North All-district squad and receiving Honorable Mention recognition were North Adams junior Trey Meade and Peebles senior Lane Hanson.

One local athlete was named to the Division IV South All-District Team as Manchester junior Sean Frost again earned First Team All-District recognition.

Frost, Copas, and Taylor were also named as participants in the annual Southeast District North-South All-Star Game which was played earlier this month at Paint Stadium in Chillicothe. Frost was a member of the South squad in the game, while Taylor and Copas played for the North.
