After her exciting second place finish in the June 5 Ohio High School Athletic Association Track Meet in Columbus, Manchester senior Tess Burns was honored back home by the members of the Manchester Board of Education.

At the June 10 meeting of the board, Burns was presented with a plaque/certificate recognizing her exciting achievement, one n which she broke the school High Jump record not once, but twice in the competition.

Burns will be continuing her education as well as her cross-country and track and field careers as a student this fall at Morehead State University.
